Out of the Box Speech is a speech therapy private practice based in Hoboken, New Jersey. The practice provides individual speech-language services for children in the home, at a child’s preschool or daycare, or at a community location agreed on in advance. Its services include individual therapy, formal and informal evaluations, family trainings, behavior support consultations, and group programming for preschool-aged children. Areas addressed on the website include language delays, articulation, autism, social language and social skills, apraxia and motor speech disorders, feeding, literacy, fluency and stuttering, memory, executive functioning, higher-level thinking skills, and language processing and comprehension. The practice also offers preschool social and language groups that support language development, school readiness, pre-literacy, turn-taking, greetings, sportsmanship, and related social skills.

The practice is co-founded by Kristen Fallon, M.S. CCC-SLP, and Ashley Menchise, M.S. CCC-SLP. Kristen is an ASHA-certified and NJ/NY-certified speech-language pathologist, holds a New York TSSLD certificate, and is PROMPT trained. Ashley is an ASHA-certified and New Jersey-certified speech-language pathologist, is a Wilson Reading System instructor, and is also PROMPT trained. The clinic describes its approach as creative, experiential, and child-centered. Therapy and group sessions are designed around play, literacy, sensory-based exploration, routines, themes, and meaningful activities rather than a traditional worksheet-based model. Families are included through carryover support, parent training, summaries of group targets, and strategies to support children’s language, social, and emotional growth outside sessions.
